Group Featured Sidebox Module (OpenCart Addon)

What does it do:
This contrib adds a new sidebox module for "Group Featured" products. Group Featured are items selected to show based on the Customer group that a customer is part of. For each customer group in your store, you can choose a list of product to show for that customer via the admin panel. When a customer logs in, they see the Group Featured product sidebox with the list of products selected for that group. If the customer is logged out they see the "Logged Out" list of products. All configurable from the admin panel.

Useful for creating "quick lists" for customers that regularly purchase a limited selection of items from you so you can quickly display to them what they like to see.

• Individual product lists for each customer group.
• Has separate "Logged Out" item list as well.
• Dynamically expands for each customer groups you add
• Completely self-contained using the OpenCart module system making it virtually transparent to upgrades (no core files are overwritten)
• All featured products are quickly chosen in the modules admin section, all in one place. Rather than in each individual product edit.

How to install it:
1) Unzip and upload the contents to the root directory of your OpenCart installation, preserving directory structure
-- No file are overwritten
2) Execute the included sql file in phpmyadmin
3) From the admin menu, go to 'Admin->Users->User Groups'. Edit Top Administrator.
4) Find and check the entries for any unchecked files in both modify and access. save.
5) From the admin menu, go to 'Extensions->Module'.
6) Install the module, and click edit to configure.
7) Login on the catalog side to see the featured items for the customer group you are logged in as.


Additional Language Support
This contrib uses its own language files. It comes with english language files. You will need to translate those files to your language like any other translated file for it to work with different languages.
