Modifications

This is where modifications for OpenCart can be found.

Modifications, unlike Modules, are not "self-contained". They are modifications made to the core code of OpenCart to add certain functionality. These are extremely difficult to keep current with each version, so they can quickly become a maintenance nightmare.

When using a modification, you must be sure that there is one made for the exact version of OpenCart that you are using, otherwise you will likely get errors.
